Watch a sample
Sample made by Sunlit Reel for a fictional person, Eleanor May Harper (1941–2025). The photos in it were made with AI to show how a video looks; your video uses only your own photos.
How it works
- Add the photos. Choose 20 to 150 photos from your phone or computer. Old prints, scans and screenshots are fine, and you can add more later.
- Add their name and choose the music. Their name, the dates, a favorite saying if you like, and a piece from our library of hymns and gentle classics.
- Watch your free draft, then get the HD video. Change anything you like for free. When it's right, pay $89 and we send the HD video within 12 hours, usually within the hour.
What your family gets
- An HD video for the service. 1080p widescreen, ready for a TV or projector.
- A vertical version for phones. Easy to share with family who can't be there.
- Damaged photos repaired. AI fixes scratches, tears, dust and fading on old prints, and we check that every face still matches the original.
- Faces stay in view. Slow pans and zooms that never cut anyone off, with soft crossfades.
- Their name, dates and your words. Opening and closing titles, plus a short caption on any photo.
- Music we recorded ourselves. Hymns, classical pieces and gentle originals, safe to play at the service and online. Listen to our music

Made with care, by software
Sunlit Reel is a small online service of App Business Ventures LLC in Texas. Your video is assembled by our software: it puts the photos in order, keeps faces in the frame, adds slow pans, titles, captions and music, and uses AI to repair damaged photos. Every video passes an automatic check before we send it: no black or stretched frames, faces in view, the music playing and the name spelled as you typed it.
Your photos stay private. We use them only to make your video. We never share them or use them to train AI, and we delete them 30 days after your video is delivered (drafts you don't buy: 14 days after your last change). More about us
Questions
How long does it take?
Your free draft is usually ready in about 30 minutes, often sooner, and we email you when it is. After you pay, the HD video is ready within 12 hours, usually within the hour. If it's ever later than 12 hours, we refund you automatically and still send the video.
How many photos can I use?
20 to 150. Each photo is on screen for about 5 seconds, so 60 photos make a video of about 5 minutes and 150 photos about 13 minutes.
Which photos work?
Photos straight from an iPhone or Android phone (including HEIC and Live Photos), screenshots, scans of old prints, JPG, PNG and TIFF files, up to 40 MB each. You can add photos in several sittings: the link in our email brings you back to your order.
Can I change the order of the photos or add captions?
Yes. Choose "as I added them" or "by the date taken", then move photos, remove them, add a short caption to any photo and change the music on your draft page. Changes before you pay are free and unlimited, and you get 2 free changes after you pay.
What does the free draft look like?
It's the whole video at a lower resolution, with a "DRAFT" mark across it. You watch it on your order page. The HD version, without the mark, comes after you pay.
What do I get when I pay?
A 1080p widescreen MP4 for a TV or projector at the service, and a vertical version for phones, to share with family. They play on any TV, laptop or phone, fit on a USB stick and can be uploaded to YouTube or Facebook. Download links stay on your order page for 90 days.
Do you repair old or damaged photos?
Yes, on the paid video. Our software spots old prints with scratches, tears, dust or faded colour and repairs them with AI (up to 25 photos per video), then checks that every face still matches the original, so people still look like themselves. A photo that doesn't pass is shown as it was.
Can I use my own song?
Not yet. You choose from our library of hymns, classical pieces and gentle originals, which we recorded ourselves, so the video is safe to play at the service and to post online.
Is AI used?
Yes. The video is assembled by our software (not edited by hand): it orders the photos, keeps faces in the frame, adds slow pans, titles and music, and AI tools repair damaged photos. Every video passes an automatic check before we send it.
What if it isn't right?
Tell us what to change, or ask for your money back: there's a refund button on your order page for 14 days after you pay, and it refunds the full $89.
